Ordered this for the first time and wondered I hadn’t checked it out much earlier …. So tasty! Love the crispy fried tauhu and vegetables coming together nicely with the peanut sauce.

One of the most delicious eggplant dips I've had in my life! Flavourful and mildly spicy and the crackers were gently crisp, ungreasy and sprinkled with a bit of chili powder so they tasted good on their own too.

An olfactory and gustatory assault on the senses! This is a bold and pungent soybean stew with the large shiitake mushroom and tofu slices being particularly tough to the bite. Look at the size of that chopped chili! The spicy taste remained on my tongue for hours after.

Really enjoyed the other dishes at this restaurant but this tasted more like sambar (south Indian dish not to be confused with southeast Asian sambal) as opposed to rasam of which mulligatawny soup is the imperialised/colonial bastardisation. I suppose this would taste novel and awesome to someone who's unfamiliar with south Indian cuisine. (Also as a south Indian first gen-er, I wouldn't have ordered this if my father didn't eagerly suggest it "just to see how they make it!")

This soup leans towards British Indian cuisine, though it’s pretty much a creamy curry broth?? At least it’s spicy 😊 $15 down the drain tho. I ended up ordering some rice to soak up the “zhap”

This presentation was so lazy and very messy. Especially at $17. I like lettuce but I’m not that crazy about it. I’ve a habit of thinking about the cost of ingredients to the dish’s price tag and obviously this is not worth it. Luckily the bamboo shoot and turnip came through with flavour. But clearly my grandma can cook this better, heck I can cook it better. Very different from when I had their vegan dishes awhile back - bring back the buah keluak fried rice!!!! The Peranakan (now closed except for online kuih orders 🥹) had vegan kueh pie tie 🙃 if anyone knows where to get the beautiful crispy savoury tart shell kuih hmu thank you

This was the best thing I’ve eaten in a while! The tofu was super flavourful, the rice nicely fried, and there was a nice kick of heat too. Honestly amazing, I’ll come back for this over and over.

This soup doesn't fill like soup. Instead think it's like a curry sauce to your rice. So wouldn't reccomend to order if you have too little diners to share or thinking that this is a real bowl of soup. Its a little way too thick n for a soup 😂 but does taste alright if not consume in large quantity.
