Unfortunately they changed their menu which previously had an option for scrambled tofu. Now you have to order the vegetarian breakfast and remove the eggs and butter. This is disappointing because the scrambled tofu really set this breakfast apart from others in the area. Also, without butter / a vegan version it’s quite dry. But a good option and beautiful on a sunny ☀️ Sunday morning 😋

This sandwich was such good value at £6.40. It’s absolutely stuffed with sun dried tomatoes 🍅 The sun dried tomato flavour could be a bit overpowering and some more hummus would have balanced it out a bit better. But so nice to see a more inventive sandwich option on a cafe menu 😋 This place has wonderful views over the lake and nearby hills. There are lots of ducks, geese and some ponies to watch. There’s also a play area for kids.

The burger was served with vegan Cheddar, gherkins and rocket with chunky chips and vegan coleslaw on the side. Nothing exceptional and I thought it was expensive at £13.

To veganise this breakfast ask for scrambled tofu instead of egg and no butter on the toast. It’s very unusual to find scrambled tofu as an option, places usually just leave out the egg. Tofu was delicious! The sausages are made of veggies which is different and quite nice if you don’t like fake meat products. A really good sized portion too! 😋
