I thought I would be a little bit disappointed by the taste because the toppings of this burger were a little bit boring. It consisted of what the menu described as “deliciously succulent plant based patty”, gherkins, onion slices, cos lettuce and tomato… definitely boring, right? BUT IT WORKS! Sometimes you don’t need to go all out gourmet, just keep it simple. Makes it a lot easier to eat because you don’t have a bunch of toppings flying all over the place. Lovely side of fries as well 🍟
I think the Second Story stamp on the bun is a unique and beautiful touch 🍔
It was R141 - expensive, but surprisingly did not cost more than the non-vegan burgers.
They have a lot of vegan options - planning on coming back here to try their wide range of vegan sushi.
