Top dish. Veggies and crispy mushrooms coated in a sweet &sour sauce. Superb on its own or as a side to whatever main you’re enjoying. a great dish for sharing. #sweetandsour #mushroom Great place for a family meal. vego cafe with a mostly vegan menu. Noodles with a tasty sauce, and topped with a mushroom mince, mushrooms and some veggies. Something for the mushroom and noodle lover. #noodle #mushroom One of the newer additions to the collective of vego cafes in the Tai Seng area. My family really enjoy this place. lots of soups, rice and noodle dishes, and plenty of sharing plates. Their menu is mostly vegan, and their food is comforting and so tasty, and they’re just really sweet people too. Printed menu in English and Mandarin. Mall basement. Double-boiled Chinese herald soup with plenty of black beans. Surprisingly there were lots of mushrooms, and premium mushrooms at that!! Apart from shiitake mushrooms, there were vegan monkeyhead mushrooms and even morel mushrooms!! 🍲🍄‍🟫 Swipe for the scooping shot~ 📸 So generous and value-for-money. They had a weekday soup set lunch too with homemade yam/pumpkin rice, vegetable, dessert. The fragrant rice topped with mushroom floss and sesame seeds reminded me of Lao Huo Tang's sweet and savoury rice; I would revisit just for the rice tbh hahaha. The vegetable was a simple seasoned lettuce dish (vegan and allium-free rendition substituting oyster sauce and garlic chips), which was crunchy and relatively tasty albeit slightly greasy. 🥬 The dessert consisted of traditional almond tofu jelly. Loved the deep and flavourful broth with house made wine fermented from soybeans; it won my companion's approval too! 🥘 Brimming with ingredients such as enoki mushrooms, black fungus, firm tofu, taupok fried beancurd pouches, and some kind of beancurd roll. Amusingly there weren't many mushrooms, but there were certainly lots of protein sources! Unique, wholesome, and hearty dish, all at a wallet-friendly price point too. ⚠️ Contains alcohol so it might not be suitable for some religious vegetarians. Top dish, especially if you like noodles ( i promise there are noodles under all that veg) and you love thunder tea. I especially love the healthy serve and variety of veggies. The dish is topped with peanuts, caipo and tofu too. The broth was so so good, and brought everything together. Everything about this dish was beautiful. The portion was pretty big too, mom and i shared this. I stole a bite off dad’s plate, it was tasty, cooked well, tart with a hint of spice. #tomyum #friedrice #rice PV was an absolute hit with the family. Comfort food right here. Love the healthy serve of veggies, cooked and seasoned so well. Topped with preserved veggies, tofu and peanuts. and the thunder tea broth to go with was so full of flavour and all kinds of beautiful and wholesome and comforting and brought the whole dish together. You could also get this as part of a set lunch (with drink) on weekdays.
