There weren’t much options for breakfast in UTown on a Saturday morning. The masala potato filling wasn’t as tasty as other dosas. Chutney and the sambar were really good though. #dosa #sgvegan #halal #thosai #masalathosai #indian #coconutchutney #chutney #veganisnotscary #veganinsingapore

Very expensive for the quality and portion size. Only the curry is really good, the rest are meh. Won’t buy again unless i have no other options :/ Frontier vegetarian is the best in NUS imo

I WAS OVER THE MOON TO DISCOVER A NEW VEGAN STALL IN ONE OF UTOWN’S CANTEEN 😍 especially given that UTown has so little vegan options to begin with. This stall is called Makan Vegan (it was very clearly labelled vegan) and they sell curry rice with various fried items/veggies. I bought curry rice with fried beancurd skin and long beans and it was absolutely delish!!! Super affordable too! Incredibly happy with this find 🥰

Solid omnimeat patty! The portion of 'meat' and rice was great, super value for money at just $6. I guess its pricey for a canteen but i rarely see these plant based meat dishes for under $10 so thats a win :) my friend added mayo to her rice bowl though, so the default no mayo one is vegan

YEP very tasty and affordable (6ish dollars i think) for a sizeable omnimeat patty. the meat texture is great and its freshly fried :) the curry and miso soup are average but im glad that these plant based options are being offered in food courts too

briyani + veggies from the indian stall is such a staple in utown, right? having the briyani again after a long while - the fragrance and mouth feel of the briyani was just delightful!

all the dishes were cooked well and very flavourful! the sambal of the tofu was a little too spicy for me (my spice tolerance is not v high tho 😅) ; rlly like the beany and nutty flavour of the chickpeas! #nuseats

Nice crispy exterior, soft and fragrant on the inside. Added veggies for a more balanced meal. Perfect for when you're craving something savoury, and not too heavy!

I ordered rice with vegan dishes: potato masala, some kind of gourd, and chickpeas. All of them were yummy! And only $3.30 for the whole plate (I asked for less rice)!
