When ordering a variety of food from an all vegan restaurant, we had to sample the desserts too! This vegan carrot cake was out of this world. The cake was dense in a good way and it was not dry at all. The bottom of the cake was a little bit browned. Not burnt at all but just a golden crust around the edges. The star though is the cream cheese frosting. Wow! I think it had orange zest or some kind of citrus in it and it was so good. The cake was just the right amount of sweet for my taste. We were talking about it still the next morning! This potato salad was in Chef Tanya’s deli case and it comes in two sizes. We opted for the large 16 oz container for $11.50. This is a good amount of potato salad for 3-4 people I think. The star of this salad are the dense, creamy organic golden potatoes. They are cut in big pieces that hold up well in the creamy salad. The flavors of Mayo, mustard, pickles and dill all come through. It definitely has a little tang to it and I like that. It balances out the creaminess and richness. This is a nice side dish for a burger or a sandwich. I think the value is there because of the quality ingredients. This Tasty Thai Tofu salad was another winner from Chef Tanya’s Kitchen. The roasted peanut dressing was delicious and packed separately so you can drizzle on to your heart’s content. Everything g in the salad was fresh and flavorful. Romaine, cucumber, seared tofu, quinoa and red peppers unite to make a hearty salad that you could eat as a meal. This sandwich did not disappoint! Everything was fresh and delicious. You can taste the care put into each individual ingredient and all the flavors compliment each other so it tastes even better with every bite! Seared garlic chili tofu is the star while the pickled daikon, carrots and jalapeño and the cool contrast with just the right amount of fresh herbs and spicy Mayo keep it interesting in a fresh french roll. This original Palm Springs location offers the finest, freshest vegan fare in the desert. Everything is vegan on the menu and in the adorable market that offers food and cute merch plus fun collectibles like pins and patches. Ok so back to the chupacabra chick’n…. 😅 Crispy seitan filets, cilantro, avocado, cabbage, jalapeño on a toasted roll make this a phenomenal, tasty and satisfying sandwich that I will return to over and over again. Perfect taco salad! Romain, pickled purple cabbage, black beans, taco meat, avocado salsa, chipotle ranch and the best tortilla chips served in a big thick paper bowl at this all vegan favorite takeout spot in Palm Springs. They even give you wood utensils so they are really minimizing plastic use here. Every ingredient was high quality, fresh and delicious. Layers of flavors and textures make this a very satisfying meal. Not the best pictures, but this cake was delicious! I got this as a grab-and-go option from Chef Tanya’s Kitchen in Palm Springs. I thought it was really tasty, though if you like your cakes to be super moist, then I’m not sure if this would fulfill that. Overall it fulfilled my sweet tooth, so yay! #veganisnotscary 8/90

If you haven’t been to Chef Tanya’s Kitchen in Palm Springs before, it is basically a vegan marketplace that sells a variety of grab-and-go options. I found this parfait in one of the refrigerated sections while on a shopping spree and had to try it. Very tasty and light if that’s what you’re looking for. #veganisnotscary 7/90

I visited Palm Springs back in August, and in search of cool vegan eateries I found Chef Tanya’s Kitchen. This sandwich is a compilation of seitan (which is made in house!), avocado, cilantro, jalapeños, cabbage, tomato, onion, and “chupacabra sauce”, all stuffed in a toasted tortilla roll. I thought it was flavorful without being too heavy, which made it the perfect lunch for me. Highly recommend! #veganisnotscary 6/90
