Angel Hair Chick'n Pasta from @CBIVegan This is a signature menu item at Westerville's only vegan joint, Can't Believe It's Vegan. Capellini pasta, sautéed vegetables (red and white onions, mixed peppers and baby spinach), cremini mushrooms, fresh basil and garlic, seasoned chick'n pieces, with Parmesan cheese to finish. A dinner roll is included on the side. This pasta is very good! So savory and filling. The vegetables always taste fresh, and their beautiful colors make the final product easy on the eyes. The chicken substitute is remarkably reminiscent of chicken. I presume it is Tindle brand vegan chicken, as it tastes very much like it, but this has not been confirmed by CBIV owner Chef Clayton. I did ask about the Parmesan; to which he informed me that it is Follow Your Heart brand. In any case, both the vegan chicken and Parmesan provide good texture and umami taste, making them welcomed additions. Moreover, the dinner roll is a pretty golden brown, with a crusty exterior and chewy interior consistency. I think it compliments the entrée well. What I enjoy most, however, is the basil and garlic. They are quite herbaceous - and Capellini is an excellent choice for this style of pasta dish, with its light texture to soak up all the wonderful flavors effortlessly. My only critique of CBIV's Angel Hair Chick'n pasta is they could go lighter on the oil. (So common of me it's cliché, I know.) I live close to CBIV and order this as takeout regularly. By the time I arrive home, the wax paper and box has begun to look messy from the oil soaking into it. Perhaps it's not the fault of the restaurant and rather the result of the emulsifiers in the vegan cheese degrading when melted, causing the canola oil to separate and thus pooling at the bottom of the box. In either case it is unfortunate it tarnishes the otherwise appealing plating they frequently accomplish in house. All in all, I rate this 8.75/10. Fresh, flavorful, with fine presentation and all at a reasonable price. I recommend this one big time. Just be sure to bring your appetite with you! And perhaps a pair of ear plugs for when you enter the restaurant - as you will be attacked sonically by their electronic doorbell!

Wow! This cheesesteak hoagie is fantastic!! It is vegan steak sautéed in an original, Chef made house made soy sauce then topped with white onion and mushrooms. To top it off is melted provolone cheese. This hoagie is packed with flavor! I highly recommend giving this sandwich a try!! #veganisnotscary #onebitebeliever

I was in the mood to try something new. I was curious about the noCrab Cakes so I thought I’d give them a try. These noCrab Cakes are made with chickpeas, mushrooms and seasonings. There did seem to be some red pepper in the cakes also. These cakes are baked and not fried, which is a plus in my opinion. They are served with a house made tartar sauce. This dish is also soy-free. The flavor was unique. There isn’t an overwhelming seafood taste to them. When I got them, they were fresh from the oven and I had to allow them to cool before eating them. The tartar sauce was quite good. There seemed to be some dill in it which is fine with me since I like dill flavoring. The noCrab Cake dipped in the tartar sauce gave it added flavor. The cakes come with a side of slaw, but I substituted the vegan macaroni and cheese which I have reviewed earlier.

I stopped by Can’t Believe It’s Vegan for a lunch item and discovered they had a brunch today. As part of my order, I got Fried Potatoes and Onions. I spoke with the chef, who is also the owner, and requested some ketchup for the potatoes. He was happy to oblige and said that is something he doesn’t think about giving as part of the order due to his mother cooked and seasoned the potatoes she made perfectly. When I ate these potatoes, I quickly discovered what he meant. This potatoes were very good! They were seasoned so well, that I used very little ketchup. The onion were not overpowering at all and gave a nice complement to the flavor. There were a couple of bites that felt a little heavy with cooking oil. The oil was not overpowering with the whole potato order. I will say this about I Can’t Believe It’s Vegan; the food you get is freshly cooked because they are prepare your order after you place it. No soggy or cold food.

This is my first Jackfruit experience and I will say it is unique. This sandwich has BBQ Jackfruit topped with coleslaw and served on a toasted bun. The flavor of this sandwich starts with BBQ and ends with a slight fruity taste. Today, instead of fries, I had a side of the coleslaw, which is spicy but has a good taste.

the wrap was good, the sweet potato fries that came with it were even better because #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease. except for the #vegan #sirachamayo , the packaging is compostable. it's a cute little hole-in-the-wall restaurant in columbus with very good food. while i would never condone encouraging roosters to smoke a pipe, i did appreciate their art. #supportlocal

my sister found this new #vegan restaurant near her home. The #veganlasagna rolls were a little pricey, but delicious and filling! Even the little roll was😋 cbiv = can't believe it's vegan. there was cute art inside and the staff was very friendly and the chef came out to say hello. this place would be easy to miss if you weren't looking for it. #supportlocal

I think the menu says this is tindle chicken on the salad. I don't know if it was because it was in small pieces, but this was a little weird texture wise for me. The chicken pieces were very mushy, didn't have the best flavor. Not so sure I would order this again, which is sad because I love Ceasar salads and love when there are vegan versions available. I love the atmosphere in this restaurant though and the owner is great.

This sandwich is currently being offered on Mondays and Fridays. I made sure to order this once I found out it was being off pad a special and I wasn’t disappointed. This is a nice noFish sandwich that appeases the seafood craving without contributing to overfishing our oceans. Also included is a large portion of house made fries. I will definitely order this again if I can make it back to I Can’t Believe It’s Vegan before this special swims away!

Have something to drink besides ya for this one! This cole slaw has some spice to it! It’s presentation is a different than what we think of as a traditional cole slaw, it doesn’t have the vegetables swimming in a liquified Mayo sauce. It isn’t completely dry either. It does have a kick with the spice but overall makes for a unique side for a sandwich.

I am a Mac N’ Cheese fan and have tried various kinds that are plant based. This cup comes served piping hot. It has a very good cheesy consistency. It has a good flavor. As a matter of fact, it is taking me a bit longer to write this due to taking breaks so I can get another bite of this mac n’ cheese. I not only recommend this dish but Can’t Believe It’s Vegan as a whole!

This is the second time I have had this BLT from this restaurant and it is as good as the first! It has bacun, mixed greens, Roma tomatoes, avocado, cilantro, Can’t Believe It’s Vegan signature Sriracha mayo on whole-wheat toast. It has just a slight bit of spice to it that adds to the taste. Also, did the fens h fry lovers, you get quite the serving of fries with this delicious sandwich. I believe we are fortunate to have such a great vegan restaurant in this area that serves great food!
