#beertown #vegan #veganisnotscary #veganschnitzel #plantbased Out of curiosity, I looked through the Oktoberfest menu and found an interesting plant-based / vegan option. Because of the seasonal availability (not realizing today was the last day it would be available), I ordered the Plant-Based Schnitzel Pretzel’Wich. And I’m so glad I did!! The sandwich was absolutely delicious and a very nice departure from one of the burger options I probably was going to order of the dedicated plant-based menu (the last photo). Huge kudos to Beertown for assembling a thorough and thoughtful plant-based menu. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The schnitzel was crispy and the apple butter was addictive. The cheddar sheeze tasted like its dairy counterpart and the pretzel bun was indeed freshly baked (although it could have been without a greasy topping / coating). I think the sandwich would’ve been better if it also had basic toppings like lettuce and tomato slices. If this sandwich was permanently on the menu, I wouldn’t complain (perhaps it is; I don’t know). I wouldn’t have to wait until next October to have it again.  The staff at this restaurant are always friendly. I highly recommend the sandwich and the restaurant.

#plantbasedchicken I ordered takeout from Barrie’s Beertown restaurant. It’s just my second time getting food from this place, and it certainly will not be my last.  Instead of a plant-based burger, I decided to get something a little different. This sandwich was absolutely delicious, but I must admit that the chick’n was a little greasy. So the bun had absorbed some of the grease. I personally didn’t care; it didn’t bother me. The last photo will list what was in the sandwich. I would get this again. I’m very impressed with the effort this restaurant has put into creating its plant-based menu. Kudos to the people behind this initiative.

This burger was huge!! The second photo lists the burger’s toppings. according to our server, the party is a combination of Impossible ground ‘meat’ mixed with vegetables . I don’t know if this is correct, but it doesn’t really matter; it was absolutely fantastic. Its taste, texture and similarity to meat was uncanny. I commend this restaurant for its effort in assembling a very impressive plant-based menu. It also has a separate gluten-free menu.

I was thoroughly impressed with this restaurant in Barrie, Ontario. They made a fantastic effort to assemble an impressive plant-based menu. Plus, according to our server, all their sauces, except for blue cheese, are vegan. The batter on these chick’n wings reminds me of that on fish sticks.  I wouldn’t say that these wings tasted like chicken, but they were very good nonetheless. They were also large and chunky. I would have no hesitation ordering these again. Accompanying the wings were a garlic aïoli sauce and ancho bbq sauce.
