My plan of action last week was simple: go to Bangkok and "work from home", hole up in a #luxuryresort because it's off-peak and you can stay at places like the Banyan for about USD120 a night (gets you an Ibis in Singapore, just saying), use my Accor status to gain club access and camp in said club for the whole day, then go find things to review for abillion in the evening ☺️ The plan worked really well until the last bit, because the club staff fed me far too well for me to be anywhere near hungry in the evening 😅
Starting with #afternoontea which they served between 1 and 4 in the afternoon 🙂 I know some of the other guests treated this as a late lunch, and honestly the portions would've supported it. Especially if you're getting a special vegan meal courtesy of the chefs. I had a #ricepaper #avocado and carrot roll one day, a plate of #deepfried #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease #broccoli and #cauliflower fritters another day, and various types of nibbles besides. I especially loved that they had dairy alternatives and were happy to modify recipes of existing beverages to make them work for you. So although they didn't have condensed mylk with which to make my favourite #thaiicedtea, they used oat milk instead, and loaded in sugar to replicate the overzealous sweetening effect of condensed milk 😋 On my last day I went round to the staff to gather their names so that I could leave a glowing review in the GM's inbox; these people fully deserved it 🥰
