white fish filet

I was really curious to try this alternative to white fish, but I know now I won't be tempted anymore. I was expecting a soft texture, something you could cut without a knife, and some nice ocean flavor. But instead, texture and taste were very similar to the vegan "Schnitzel", just with way more 🧂 🍚 salt. The #herbs around are surely a plus, what in my mind is the only really good part of this vegan #filet. I do not think that was any close to what fish tasted, but fortunately it's too long ago I did try it. In any case, if this alternative can help somebody to let the #fishes be, let them happily swim in their own waters, then it is worth existing. Un altro prodotto Yolo che mi è piaciuto molto ma che non so se ricompreró. Quando l'ho preso non ho guardato molto gli ingredienti, una volta a casa e letti devo dire che non sono il massimo, c'è scritto: a base di olio di colza. Infatti ne contiene il 20%. Poi proteine del frumento, amido e burro di karite. Insomma non proprio salutari. Però sono proprio buoni, la consistenza ricorda quella dei tranci di palombo, il sapore no, sono delicati, con una punta di dolce, non speziati. Io ci ho spruzzato del limone e devo dire che stava molto bene, mi ricordavano delle scaloppine. Le erbette della marinatura cuocendo si bruciano un po' ma non sono fastidiose. Scaldandoli rilasciano tanto olio quindi non ne aggiungerei in padella. La dose è di 80g a testa, un filetto, io li ho mangiati entrambi ma in effetti riempiono abbastanza. Il dilemma è: gusto o ingredienti? Magari una volta ogni tanto si può fare. Peccato per la vaschetta in plastica 😞. Filetto di finto pesce, la consistenza è un po gommosa diciamo, ma il gusto è davvero molto buono, mi ha ricordato il merluzzo. Unica pezza, l'ho trovato molto salato. Non so se lo ricomprerei per questo.

Tastes absolutely delicious. Nice marinade and very close to real fish in texture and taste.
