I love laksa and hoped this Aldi one would be decent enough for a lazy, at-home version, but I didn’t like it much at all ☹️ The soup was really lacking in flavour. Added soy sauce, kecap manis and sesame oil and it was still bleh. Lemon or lime juice might’ve helped too but we didn’t have any. Good that it contains tofu and enoki mushrooms for a bit of substance, but oddly doesn’t contain noodles so you have to add your own. Overall a pass from me. #laksa #convenient #soup
I loved the look, I loved the fact it had enoki mushrooms, and the fact there were no artificial ingredients… but damn this was bland af. It’s definitely geared towards white people who can’t handle the spice and flavour of a real laksa. It’s a bit annoying it doesn’t come with noodles. The whole thing is apparently two servings but I used the whole package even with half the bowl already filled with my own noodles and tofu. Yeah it’s healthy and natural but it made me sad eating it, so I won’t get it again.
