I love this product! Living in central Portugal is very difficult to find Latin foods. I wish it was available in other stores besides Lidl. Their products aren’t available all year round. I’ll buy this product over and over again. Very practical.

I must I say that there were doubts about buying frozen #tostones, but my cravings for a good Cuban-style meal overrode them! These crispy fried plantains have only two ingredients: 95% #plantains and 5% #sunfloweroil, and come precooked so minimal time is needed to enjoy them. Instead of deep frying them, I added a little oil to a sauteé pan and basically heated them up until they browned a little. They were pretty close in taste to what I remember, slightly sweet and the right texture, and were so good with some black beans and rice!
