Smoked Gouda

They were $1 or $2 apiece (the normal retail price is about $5 or $6). This package of Earth Island Smoked Gouda (dairy free) cheese slices was one of them. At that price, you can’t beat the value. These cheese slices are so good. I smelled the smokiness as soon as I opened up the package. I could taste it too. I honestly don’t know what smoked Gouda is supposed to smell and taste like, so I don’t have a basis for comparison. Regardless, this cheese tasted very very good.  It melts well- a big plus for me! You can see it in the last photo where I had made myself a cheeseburger (the burger was plant-based; I didn’t have any hamburger buns so I had to resort to using 2 bread slices). This cheese does not offer much nutritional value, unfortunately. Conversely, it’s not full of sodium and crappy ingredients.  Ten slices were in the package. I will definitely get this again. 

this is one of my favourite sliced cheese out there. I love the smoked Gouda flavour, it’s good on sandwiches, burgers or I just eat a slice on its own for a snack

Took a risk on this one and was pleasantly surprised. Subtle smokey taste - not overpowering. (Sorry for the crappy photo)
