Serious popcorn: sweet and salty

Okay… this Serious Popcorn needed some serious seasoning 😬 I so wanted this to be #sweetandsalty as advertised but alas it was not 😕 The #popcorn itself was already not very crunchy 🥲 It felt like some air had gotten into it already but i don’t know… I could bareeeeelyyyy taste any saltiness and just the barest modicum of sugar but it felt more like the natural sweetness from the kernel 🫡 I know now why this reasonably filled bag was only $5.45 🫤 I expected more than this of the Serious Food Co. because seriously…? 😳

This popcorn has a well-balance of flavor. It is not salty or overly sweet.

I felt genuine sadness when I came to the end of this pack and realised I’d finished it, lol. This pack achieves a lightness and moderation in flavour - the sweet ones aren’t cloyingly sweet and the salty ones aren’t too salty. Sweet and salty flavours are mixed in equal measure and not “layered” on top of each other like you get in cinemas. Really enjoyed this and was happy to find it at my local convenience store rather than having to travel far or buy online.

Perfect morning snack when you forget to eat breakfast. I love the simple packaging. Could have done with a little more salty, but very good. #veganuary
