This jerky is really nice to have in the cupboard when you just need a little somethin-somethin. I also like to chop up and add a few pieces to dishes that might benefit from a bit of a chewy texture. Update: I still like chopping up and adding to BBQ, chili, etc. However, I am not crazy about it by itself as it has an aftertaste that I don't particularly like.
I have never eaten meat jerky prior to going vegan, so I can't compare to that, but I can say that these are awesome! The BBQ flavor is on point with just the tiniest kick of heat and they have a chewy (but not too tough) texture. I ordered a few bags of Soy Curls directly from Butler and they threw this bag in for free. I will definitely order these with my Soy Curls next time! #veganisnotscary
