Panda Buns

Extremely cute bao buns. The face is made from coloured dough (it looks like olives, but isn’t!), and the filling is a sort of hoisin-flavoured mushroom filling. My three year old thinks these are brilliant (and so do I!). Downside is they were (I think) £3 for a packet of just 2 panda buns - so quite expensive for a big family to enjoy! Instructions were for microwave only, but we don’t have a microwave so we cut out little circles of greaseproof paper and put the buns on them in the electric steamer for about 13 mins (they could have done with an extra 2 mins I think). Marked vegan.

These are too cute, but their tasty insides makes the sacrifice worth it. These buns are soft, fluffy delights with a mushrooms & rich hoisin sauce filling. Super light & tasty. BUT the ‘limited edition’ stamp on the front does cause me stress.

Couldn’t resist these! Once you get through the thick bready exterior, the filling is actually really yummy - so a bit of a mixed bag. I wouldn’t buy them again, as they were pricey and not as good as other ready-made bao buns I’ve tried

The Panda Buns from M&S are delicious with mushroom and hoisin filling. These are perfect for lunch and super easy to heat up in the microwave. Obviously they are also very cute too! 🐼

Absolutely delicious little buns filled with hoisin mushroom. I could eat an obscene amount of these buns.
