I liked the taste of this oatmilk and thought it was a nice combo having cashew + coconut. Those additions are really subtle but help round out the flavor. Nutrition-wise I was sad to see 0g of protein and a negligible amount of calcium. I won't be buying this again because I prefer my milk to be fortified with calcium (and B-12) and have at least some protein in it.
Best tasting Oakmilk I have tried. Great alone or in smootjies!
This is not good as a drinkable milk. I would not use it in anything that you’ll taste it. It’s kind of gritty and very oaty tasting, unlike most other oat milks I’ve tried. It works fine in baking and smoothies.
So I have been in love with Forager products for a while, but I mostly stuck with my tried and true cashew milk. However, now that I’m sharing food with my nut sensitive husband, I’ve been using oat milk. On my last grocery trip I saw that Forager had a new oat milk and snatched it up. This oat milk delivered just like their cashew milk does. Creamy consistency light flavor (a little sweeter than the cashew milk, but not “sweet”). So far I’ve subbed it in pancakes and Mac n peas and I love it!
