I usually prefer to buy the large medjoul #dates that you pick yourself in-store. But anyway, I decided to try these. They are of the mazafati variety! They have a mild and almost slightly smokey maple syrup taste. Not nearly as #sweet and rich in flavour as the ones I usually purchase, but they’re dates so they’re of course tasty anyway! They are the type that has a thin, flakey skin on the outside. The inside of these dates are super soft and gooey. They feel very juicy and #fresh just like the label says, which I am sure a lot of people will appreciate. For me the texture is a bit too mushy to be a favourite. Product of Iran🇮🇷 Dates are so useful! Great to #snack on with some nutbutter, add them to your oatmeal/yoghurt/granola or use them to make energy bars and other #sweettreats. The soft texture of these would make them ideal for #baking, you probably wouldn’t need to soak them. 💵~55 NOK at Coop. It’s pretty good value conpared to medjoul dates!
