These colorants are PETA approved with extracts of turmeric, spirulina and vegetables juices. I imagine that the glycerin used is of vegetable origin. To give a little pink color to the aquafaba meringues, it’s perfect !
This brand of food coloring derives the dyes from vegetable sources rather than insects (e.g., carmine). They worked really well! With vanilla frosting, the food coloring changed it to pastel colors.
