Classic Pizzeria Plant-based Pepperoni Slices

I first found out about Field Roast products a dozen or so years ago after Happy Cow (a savior when traveling, especially in those days) led me to a restaurant that served their sausage as part of a vegan breakfast in Milwaukee WI in the US. Since then I’ve tried many of their offerings and have found them to be consistently delicious. This pepperoni is no exception. It has a really good flavor and is a great addition to a homemade vegan pizza (for the more ambitious of us) as well as a vegan takeout or frozen pizza. 🍕

have never been steered wrong by Field Roast and these Classic Pizzeria Plant-Based Pepperoni Slices are great! the texture is a bit more squishy than typical pepperoni but the fennel and spices really deliver a great flavor! 🍕

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this #veganpepperoni … it’s awesome. I used it on a #veganpizza and was so pleased with the flavor, texture, and the way it blended in on my 🍕. I’m going to try it next as a pizza sub, or cosmo sandwich (depending on where you live) #nongmo and made by a carbon neutral company. #veganisnotscary

I was never much of a pepperoni fan, so I've never gravitated towards these, but @jonok had them along with Trader Joe's pizza dough and Daiya mozzarella, so we had a nice pizza night! I tried one straight out of the package, and the taste was fine, but I wouldn't recommend that for the texture. I really enjoyed them on the pizza though! The edges that were exposed got nice and crispy. I love how this isn't nearly as greasy as a non-vegan pepperoni pizza would be. Wow! Really #impressed with these #plantedbased #pepperonislices from #fieldroast! They are flavorful and #spicy!! I added them to this pizza I put together with an already made crust from #banza !!
