I had no idea Costco made vegan pies and my cousin shared with me recently so when I stopped by my local Costco this was the first thing that jumped into my cart. I grew up eating really good homemade fruit pies that my grandma made on the farm. However, since going vegan in 2014 I had only made and enjoyed a vegan pumpkin pie. So, this was worth trying!!!
I was so aggravated at Costco for adding animal based ingredients into their formally vegan #applepie .. and hopefully the will go back to #veganapplepie .. in the meantime I am very happy with this #cherrypie I read about it in a vegan #costco page and thought I’d never find it in my area .. woo hoo found it .. this has the perfect balance of sweet and tart .. the crust is perfect.. and yea you are reading the label correctly.. this is a five pound pie ..will be freezing a large chunk of the very large pie …
