Animal-free Chocolate Milk

It doesn’t taste exactly like Fresh Milk from Cows or Goats… it tastes like those sweeter UHT milks that you find on the shelves from the unrefrigerated section, but the thinner, skimmed ones! Personally, it’s like a like chocolate milk pack from the shelves 🍫 I feel it does mix well with other things rather than consumed on its own — great with protein shakes, cereals and oats. Just a personal preference It is cool to know that you have certain #microflora that are making milk?! 🥛

Taste-wise, it was average and good enough for my tea break. What intrigued me was that this was dairy milk made by microflora and not from cows. Apparently when provided with the genetic information to make whey and casein proteins, the microflora will convert plant sugar into these main proteins found in milk through the process of fermentation. Really smooth choc mylk! No aftertaste and it’s pretty thick👀 imo it’s worth a try:)

I bought both the chocolates version and the plain version. Was having high expectations and searching high and low over few ntuc near my but could not find it. Finally saw it at Giant and it was on discount 2 for 7.90 which is quite cheap for alternative milk option. But high expectations came with high disappointment. Both the milk taste quite bland and like diluted version of milk to me. Taste abit weird too other than the bland part for those who tasted real milk before should be able to relate. Tried to mix it with cereal to eat after to cover the lack of taste. Personally would not try it again unless there is an improved version. But all in all is an good effort of providing alternate milk that is vegan friendly and can is lactose free and animalt cruelty free.
