All in one Mixed Berry

abillionのビーガンコミュニティによるレビュー

Got this basically for free through work. It's pretty expensive, which makes honest reviews key. Comes about 2/3 full, 18 scoops worth. I'm not a big fan of supplements in general, they often feel deceptive, but the convenience of a whole foods powder to quickly mix with water and a few other little things is nice. The smoothie pic'd here is water, powder, oats, flax&chia, banana. What I like: +The ingredient list, mostly #organic (dried& grounded) whole foods. One sprouted. Food stamps eligible. +Little sodium and saturated fat. No added sugar. #glutenfree +Some probiotics and omega 3 (I hope thats true, skeptical about the probiotics.) And a little b12 (not really though) +Good taste and texture with water, no need for mylk! Thats huge. I'm done with plant based milk until the healthy ones drop in price. +Turns a satisfying green with liquid. A brighter green than the pic shows. Dont like: -Lack of transparency about where ingredients are sourced, and to a lesser degree, levels of cadmium, mercury, arsenic on tub or website. -plastic tub -the 80% b12 at 1.92mcg is misleading, assuming thats the total amount in a serving. ~1% of b12 consumed is absorbed, so it's hardly anything. You'd be getting (usefully) 1.92mcg if the dosage was 192mcg. Thats why b12 supplements come in hundreds or thousands mcg. Again, supplements industry is often deceiving! -I hate seeing "natural flavors" in the ingredients, but dont think it's a concern in this case. -giving your money to a giant corp that makes dairy products too. #veganisnotscary
