Vegan Shawarma, sub couscous

This dish is served with focaccia but I opted for the couscous base instead. The couscous had a mix of cooked onion, celery, carrots and chickpeas and the ‘shawarma’ was soy strips with some veggies and tahini dressing on top. I was so surprised by the strips, I’m persian so I had a lot of shawarmas/kebabs before going vegan and I was skeptical anything could actually imitate that taste but this might be the best meat substitute I’ve tried so far the taste was spot on!! The dish itself was super filling I actually couldn’t finish it all lol. It was also really spicy, even though I usually have a high spice tolerance it was a bit much for me and I had to remove a bit 😰 Overall though it was good! Think it was around $22.
