
My favourite dish to order here. The texture is like orh luak with the starchy thing and the egg substitute is good with tofu. Huge plate with Loads of straw mushrooms and the nori made the whole dish smells very seafood-y. Needa eat it while hot and with the chilli.
When I first tried this, I thought it was like an 8/10 🫨 Since then, I’ve tried the #orhluak from Warong Ijo which absolutely put this to shame 😅 STILL… Whatever combination of #eggsubstitute and #tofu they’ve got going on is… pretty much does the job 😙 It retained some eggy sentiment so I reckon they might’ve thrown in some black salt 🤓 They also included what looked like seaweed which helped boost that #umami I’m always lookin’ for 😉 Then, there were #strawmushroom pieces to mimic the oyster element! How bout that! I enjoyed the commitment to crisp up the skin 😛 so much so it’ll have you exclaiming #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 😏 I still remember the coat grease all around by the end of it 😝 $14.90 for a pretty big serving of #tofueggs and #greasygoodness 🙃 It’s cool if you’ve got a hankering but you’re better off going for the one at Warong Ijo 😅

Late to the game (nothing gamey, not to worry), half portion pictured. I sense #tofu in abundance alongside flour for that crispy effect. Not a big fan when it comes to seasoning (heavy handed). Beware of glistening lips thereafter, #greasy much #orhluak Damage 👉 $12
My best takeaway from Saute is their Vegan Orhluak. It’s a replacement of the oyster omelette. They uses ingredients such as Tofu, seaweed and straw mushrooms to make the taste almost similar to the real one. I prefer it to be very crispy, hence, i will always indicate that i want it crispy😎. Do note that the waiting time for this item will be about 15-20mins to ensure that the final product is well done.
