vegan chocolate sponge cake

This a very pleasant local café I like to go to, but not too often as there is very limited vegan choice. This attractive chocolate sponge cake, crowned with a raspberry was the only cake option. And sausage roll is the savoury option. However, I’m delighted they’ve got those, it’s a good start. The cake itself was fine, good balance of fairly moist sponge and vegan butter cream. I suppose I was hankering for something a bit different, maybe a scone, or fruitcake so it didn’t have the wow factor. But the main thing is #nodairy is great. The staff are very pleasant and there’s a nice seating area at the back of the café newly decked out with colourful artificial flowers. Didn’t note exact price but it was £3+.
