Vegan BLT

This vegan BLT is the perfect satisfying Saturday brunch meal. The salty smokiness of the tofu is perfectly offset by the crispness of the 🥬 and 🍅. I’ve had the vegan BLT at Wildsprout before, but this one was leagues ahead. It all came down to the choice of the bagel as the accompanying bread. Wildsprout stocks awesome chewy vegan bagels from Kleinsky’s Delicatessen and they’re the best in this BLT format. So yup! This was so delicious. Another win. It was so yummy on the bagel. The tofu bacon doesntly really taste like mock bacon but it was still delicious.

I chose the brown seeded bread option. This sarmie was very disappointing. The bread was hard and dry, not toasted, just hard. Such thick cut tomato on each slice that I actually removed it as I couldn't taste much else. The tofu bacon on its own was okay but it was let down by the bread and tomato. R88 - not worth it at all.

Another great meal here. Vegan BLT with avo added. R88 plus R30.
