Tom yum mee Hoon Kueh

This is $5, used to be $4.50 but they increased their price, which I find it fair as the quality and quantity of the ingredients used is top notch! There is a huge variety of veggies inside, mainly cherry tomato, mushroom, cabbage, carrot, some type of green leafy vegetable, beancurd skin and firm tofu (tau kwa) sometimes. For the mee hoon kueh, it is handmade, so it might not be as smooth as those machine made ones but I really like the texture of it and reminds me of what my grandma used to make me. Also since their menu revamp, they added beetroot inside their mee hoon kueh so it makes it even more nutritious. For the tomyum base, it is not your traditional tomyum soup. Like everything else in their menu, they add their own twist. Don‘t go in expecting an authentic tomyum soup, but more of a delicious (not that) spicy soup! This dish and the environment is very homely. All of their dishes are very nutritious, homemade and light. Eating here will make you feel like you’re eating at your grandma or a family member’s house. It kinda has a Taiwanese touch to them too. This is a dish that I am never sick of; I have been coming here for 2 years now, almost every week, and I order this all the time without fail. I love the food, the service and the atmosphere. If you haven’t tried this store before, this is a reminder for you to try it now! Anything from their menu is delicious and made with love. (Also, they are a fully vegan store so order whatever you want without worrying!)

It was a bowl filled with lots of ingredients and kueh at $4.50! I super enjoyed it, as I love chomping down on mee hoon kueh and theirs were really homemade and authentic, chewy and comforting. The soup is not really authentic tom yum though, I guess perhaps because they don't use alliums but it was still a tasty soup! Not that spicy at all, and just a slight tanginess.
