Thunder tea brown rice

Really one of the best Hakka thunder tea rice places I’ve ever tried. It’s extremely affordably priced at $4. While the ingredients are pretty standard, the brown rice had just the nice texture and moisture that complemented the green tea soup tremendously well! Side note: Can request for less water for a more pasty version of the green tea soup if you’d like to! Warning: The queues on both afternoon weekdays and weekends are extremely long — up to 30-45 mins. Request for no salty fish (咸鱼) and anchovies (江鱼仔) for a vegan experience (全素)!

$4 with brown rice. The creamy tea-soup is one of the nicest I have tasted! Ate up everything. Not a grain of rice or drop of tea left!

Omit the ikan bilis (dried fish) for this to be vegan! I love how tender the tofu is, how generous they are with the veggies and how tasty this is! It isn’t too oily as well :D

This is where I discovered #thundertea for the first time 🤩 Love this dish, especially the tea which is very flavourful! Ask for it without ikan billis to make it vegan. 4sgd for a bowl Avoid peak hours, the queue gets very very long!!!! This is my 100th review on the platform, yay 🙌
