The Classic

I’ve lived in New West for nearly two years and had somehow never realized that The Spud Shack had vegan options!! They offer several vegan poutine options, along with a burger. I got the classic poutine which came with gravy and Daiya shredded cheese. I quite like Daiya’s new cheese formulation, it has a nice flavour and melts pretty well. But it just doesn’t hold up as a poutine cheese, especially since I’ve been to Montreal and had vegan cheese curds!!! This was still tasty, but nothing mind blowing. I’d be interested to try the other more loaded poutines next time! #veganpoutine #whatveganseat

It was delicious 😋 Picture here is Large and it was a lot of food. Unless you are sharing with 2+ ppl or starving, Small or Medium is more than enough IMO.

Super delicious. They use vegan (daiya) cheese. It's pretty good
