Tempura Udon

Another solid effort, I especially liked the earthiness of the #mushroom broth 😋 Didn't quite give enough support to the #udon at that level of thickness, but by itself it was delightful! I thought I'd at least give their udon a go since clearly that was being presented as their forté. There is an alternative option for this on the menu which involves plain noodles with a seaweed soup of some sort on the side, and the very attentive server told us that it tended to be less well received 🥲 The #tempura did what tempura normally does - #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 😋 You get one piece each of #pumpkin, #capsicum, #aubergine, #whiteradish, #shiitake, and - perhaps most intriguingly - some thin leaf that became an delicious excuse to eat batter 😍 That found the keys to my heart!
