The warm pain au chocolat, filled with chocolate paste, enhanced the experience of each bite.
According to my non-vegan French friend, it's one of the best pain au chocolats she has ever had and I think that says enough about it.
The croissant, on the other hand, was a bit dense and lacked the flakiness and "honeycomb" you'd expect in a croissant. I am yet to find a good vegan croissant but the pain au chocolat definitely hits the spot.
