Tasting Menu

The tasting menu was the most expensive thing on the menu. My husband wanted bottomless sushi, but the whole table had to order the same and I didn’t want to only eat sushi, I wanted to try the food of this amazing chef and have a broader experience. It was really, really good. The dishes are very small, but you end up full. I really recommend.

🇫🇷 This is Alexis Gauthier’s new more casual space for all 🌱vegan fine dining. They’ve just started a new tasting menu which we got to try two for one. My partner is trying to monitor his food intake for cycling🚴‍♂️ performance which annoyingly made this a less joyful experience. It was about 1800 calories for the 5 course meal and was very rich. Highlights for me were the brioche feuilletée 🥐which is just incredible with the layers of exquisite pastry. The 🍅tomato tortellino in the light basil broth was also gorgeous. The black kelp caviar with 🍋lemon and crematta was super yummy too. Our favorite main was the brochette of summer mushrooms🍄 with tofu and daikon. We weren’t crazy about the 3D printed ‘lamb’ with the tagine this time but maybe that’s because we never enjoyed lamb or tagine before either. The dessert was not for us. My partner loved the canapés best and was missing simple well cooked vegetables. They are doing discounts for this tasting course on certain days still I believe while they are trialing dishes and training staff. I’m desperate to come back here to his morning bakery and lunchtime sandwiches 🥪spread.
