
I genuinely think they’ve greatly improved on this since I first had it 😅 Or perhaps Singapore has changed my palate! I know for a fact I can’t take the heat as much any more 😝 This country does not do #spicy! What they do have a monopoly on is all things super super unhealthy, in spite of us Malaysians joking that the reason our cuisine hits harder is.. “lower health standards” 🤪 This has become the #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease dish I’ve been hoping for! It’s a lot less soggy now with a sturdier “crust” and slight hint of sweet on the batter 😋 Avoneko was very happy with it too! #catsofabv #catsofabillion
This was IMO the only flop, and that’s only because I thought the batter was subpar to a lot of other deep-fried eggplant fritters I’ve had 🍆 Generally they go amazingly with sambal, but obviously we hadn’t any here 😅 It’s good if you feel like you need something frittery but it definitely doesn’t hit the spot for me 😴
This #aubergine dish was a star of the meal!!! Crispy on the outside and so moist and soft on the inside, and delicately seasoned to perfection. Could eat this over and over again 😍 Highly recommend this with a pint of beer 😅
I love eggplants in all shapes and forms. this dish is definitely an original version!
