Polpette con lenticchie decorticate e contorno di stagione

Ancora a Torre Colombaia. Questo era il secondo piatto: gustoso e accompagnato da una semplice quanto buona erba di campo ☘️

This is the second course of the set menu offered by Torre Colombaia. Red lentil "meatballs" topped with a tomato based sauce and, as a side, a mix of leafy vegetables, picked from their organic garden. The meat(less)balls were really tasty and paired perfectly with the sauce, which was well seasoned and very rich. The veggies were my favourite part 😍 they were simply sauteed with garlic, olive oil and salt, nothing fancy, but I think this is the most appropriate way to cook them: it really brings out their flavor and you can taste all the difference from the store bought ones! They are so fresh and flavorful, even with such a simple seasoning. Honestly, I could have eaten two more full plates of those veggies 🙈
