Nasi Lemak Veg

I was morbidly curious about what their vegetarian #biasa #nasilemak would be like, considering that it was priced at RM7 and the rest of the section (with various meat side dishes) was more than twice that 😅 It was predictably disappointing and unimaginative. No effort to substitute the ikan bilis (or maybe it was a double portion of #kacanggoreng? 🤔) No tofu which is sometimes used instead of egg. Just 3 slices of stale #cucumber and (out of shot) a small helping of #fakemeat #soychunks in #spicy #sambal 😋 In fact the sambal is probably the only thing that would justify a recommendation of this dish 🫤 The #coconutrice lacked fragrance and the whole thing just looked tired and thoughtlessly slapped together
