Tasted a bit like indian bengan ka Bertha.. the food here is really good #abillionlove
Mashed smoky eggplant with lots of Persian spices. Definitely order this. Goes great with the bread. #eggplant #middleeasternvegan
Yes to restaurants coming up with their own vegan menu 👏👏👏 they didn't have this menu last year when I went. I LOVE Persian cuisine, their gravy reminds me so much of how we do things in Tunisia ❤ this appetizer is eggplant-based, a bit sour and has a dip-like texture. They offer you either rice or bread to your choosing. The only downside is that I expected more out of a 25$ appetizer 👀👀 #abillionlove
After the tasteless dolma experience I had no hopes from the restaurant, but they did pretty well with other dishes. "Baigan ka bharta" is an Indian version of the very poetic named dish "Mirza Ghassemi" could get the flavour of the smokey grilled 🍆.lots of 🍅 n spices.well made n served hot. #abillionlove
We ordered the #mirzaghassemi at #shabestan Its a delicious eggplant dip with a lot of #spices blended in. It also comes with a tandoor baked roti in the second pic SGD 25 Now for some trivia: Apparently, the dish is also known as mirza qassemi after a particularly food-crazy Governor of Gilan province of Persia called Mohammed Qasem Khan who is credited with inventing this dish.
