Margherita Pizza

This is actually called a ‘Raphael’ pizza on the menu, and you need to stipulate that you want vegan (Violife) cheese - for an extra R30.00. I opted to add some avo in an attempt to make it a bit more interesting 🍕 I think in many cases “a picture speaks a thousand words” and this is no exception.. it really wasn’t great 🤷🏻‍♀️ It arrived cold, and did not have much flavour at all. Not sure if the cheese was perhaps cheddar, rather than mozzarella, but it isn’t something I would order again. On the plus side, it was a nice thin crust and not soggy. Hubby ordered the pasta dish that I ordered the last time I was there (‘Mafaldine Clay Cafe’) and I would recommend ordering that, rather, as it’s really good 🍝 I really do love this spot but hope they will move past putting “vegan-friendly” on their website as a selling point, and rather make a genuine effort to put clearly marked vegan options on their menu 🌱 Besides pasta and pizza, the only other options I could see were avo toast as a breakfast option.. or chips.. which I ordered for my kids and they were really good 🍟 (there is a roast veggie salad but it contains feta and a honey-soy dressing, and the menu clearly states they will not accommodate any swap-outs) Other than the food… it is great fun for kids and grown-ups alike to get to paint and enjoy the beautiful surroundings 🎨😃 #greyton #greytonfarmanimalsanctuary

Decent pizza. Not much flavor and quite simple. Not my favorite but could eat it again. #veganin2020

Wasn't expecting to have a vegan option let alone a whole pizza! Very yum and they had more variety on the menu
