Mao Feng

I took myself on a nice date to the Minneapolis Institute of Art this Sunday and started off the day with some time at a nearby café. They have a nice selection of unique teas that are served beautifully in insulated glass. This Mao Feng is a yellow tea with notes of apricot, lilac, and almond macaron. Yellow tea is a rare tea that goes through micro-fermentation before drying. It has a smoother and more subtle flavor than green tea. Surprisingly, it has a pretty high caffeine content for tea at about 60mg (black has around 45mg and green is between 30-50mg). I didn't realize this and had to get something to eat afterwards because the caffeine was making me anxious. 😅 It didn't look like Wesley Andrews had any food options.
