Okome House is a nice casual place with lots of vegan options! I was so happy to see 8 vegan onigiri flavors on the menu! When I was a kid I always loved the look of adorable Pokémon eating these little filled rice balls. I haven't had the opportunity to have these much because for some reason they're not too common in MN, even at sushi restaurants that would have all the ingredients. @jonok and I ordered three flavors and I was so excited to live out my Pikachu fantasy with this flight of tasty rice balls.
This konbu onigiri was my pick. It tastes like the ocean in the best way possible. It's stuffed with sweet soy simmered kelp that has such a nice flavor. It's salty while still feeling light and fresh. The rice held together well with the help of the outer nori sheet.
