This place is not at all what it looks like on photos I’ve seen online! Perhaps Bowls has changed owners recently. It now looks and feels like an Asian streetfood take-away. The staff are lovely and the food seems authentic, but the whole place has a bit of a cheap feel to it. Also not at all sustainable to give everything in single-use take-away dishes even when people are eating in.
The way the food was presented I’d expected it to cost half the price (food on the photo was £12.50). It was a decent portion, but I could have eaten more, although I was quite done with the taste of the sauce after this amount anyway. The main downside to Bowls is that it’s not obvious which dishes are veggie vs. vegan. We ordered vegetable dumplings which are often vegan by default, only to find out they had egg in them… Sadly wouldn’t come back here.
