Indian Curry Bowl

Cheryl’s on 12th is located downtown in #swportland —and it’s a very popular breakfast & lunch spot among omnivores. I had never been here before but went for a friends bday breakfast gathering. They have just a few vegan options to choose from, like this Indian curry bowl and also a vegan mushroom steak and a tofu rancheros. This dish was tasty and unique— I can’t say I’ve had a curry with raw almonds garnishing it. The menu lists that this dish includes rice, roasted vegetables, curry, almonds and sunflower seeds, however, I do not recall seeing or tasting any sunflower seeds. The vegetables included were broccoli and sweet potatoes. I will of course be giving this restaurant a poke in hopes that they expand their vegan offerings, especially when it comes to classics like biscuits & gravy and pancakes etc. #portlandveganeats #cherylsontwelfth #curry #pita #supportlocal
