Was this bowl delicious? Yes.
Am I disappointed in Genghis? Yes.
Genghis is located on OSU's
campus and offers a decent selection of vegan options. Maybe this is my fault as a customer who didn't frequent enough, but they removed both of their #vegan curated chef bowls from their menu and also eliminated one of their vegan meat options. So, now for vegans your only choice is #tofu and a build your own bowl (rice, rice noodles or udon) this is still a decent selection, but sad to see the vegan chicken and chef bowls go.
They have three different size bowls to choose from (small, medium, large). I got the small for $12. It was still a rather large portion. It had a base of vegan #udon noodles, and for the small size, you can choose up to 4 toppings. I chose bell pepper, broccoli, pineapple, and maderin orange. I also chose the island teriyaki sauce. This had a lot of flavor, and it was cooked nicely. The veggies weren't soggy or mushy, and the added fruit was nice. I also chose tofu as my #protein option. They wait time is a bit long here. It took 15 minutes to make my bowl when it was empty. I'm sure they had many online orders, though.
