Emerald Vegetarian Fish

Actually, this sharing portion isn’t officially on their menu 🤓 We actually ordered the Emerald Tofu dish 👉 https://www.abillion.com/reviews/637e1f61429fd44c66ed9231 but they were out of #tofu so the restaurant asked if we’d be cool with a #fish swap out… to which we responded, “heck yeah!’ 🤩 All the Kuching #vegetarianrestaurant know how to make their #veganfish 😛 It’s not just how they make it in-house but how they kill every #deepfried dish 🤪 It was just at the perfect ceiling of saltiness, which worked wonders for the #deepfry #sweetdreamsaremadeofgrease 😝 The sauce was a solid thickness but a tad on the sweet side. Therefore, they win over my #salty-sweet palate 🤤 The crisp maintained itself against it real well too… RM16 for this decent portion and how filling it is? Totally worthwhile with a nice side of rice 😋 One of my #highlyrecommended picks 😜

Lucky us with their “emerald #tofu” running out we got this #offthemenu vegetarian #fish swapped in place instead. Kind of. They sell it in a smaller portion with rice in a set meal but kindly prepared us this when we asked for the former, so your mileage may vary when trying to order this 👩‍🍳 I know nothing of emerald outside Minecraft so I can’t tell you which made this dish.. this 🤷‍♀️ The #batter was good though and the #veganfish nothing I haven’t had before but all good all the same. More surprisingly though in spite of their swapping this for seemingly more expensive ingredients, this meal cost us RM16 just the same. Bonus! Served with broccoli 🥦 and a sprinkle of sesame seeds, I think this was a pretty heft meal 😋 #veganisnotscary
