i love this sandwich and it was really good the first time i had it
(i’ve had it twice). the phish filets were crispy, and the sandwich was packed with cheese, tartar sauce, lettuce, and delicious pickled onions. it was on this soft and thick bun and i was pretty happy with it. not my absolute favorite in terms of flavor, but definitely worth ordering again.
when i ordered it a few days ago, it was not that at all! the bread was soggy, the phish filets were soggy, even the lettuce was soggy 😭 i couldn’t bite into the lettuce because it would just smush around. the pickled onions were still delicious but there were less of them, and the tartar sauce was still good but there was less of that too. the bun was alright but the whole sandwich was pretty empty and fell apart so so easily.
this is a great sandwich when it is great, but when it isn’t great it definitely isn’t worth ordering. i’ve noticed that with a few items from dharma’s that the quality varies severely, and i feel like i can’t give this sandwich a great score because i don’t know what i will receive upon ordering it.
