#michelinguide #fancyvegan #veganroots This is hands down my favourite restaurant in Vancouver and we try to come at least once a year to celebrate something. This was for my birthday! Pictured here are several courses not on the main menu. * a cucumber & leek reduction gazpacho * cherry & pineapple weed granita w/strawberry jam & golden plum * amuse bouches - tomato, aubergine & walla walla onions, corn grits w/horseradish and smashed cucumber * sourdough rosemary rye with strawberry vinegar * cucumber & pickled rhubarb with lovage three ways in a rhubarb agrodulce * zucchini baked, scoured with toasted quinoa, squash with birch syrup * cherry jam shortcake, with sorrel, lovage, hazelnut cream and woodruff shortbread *green beans, Romano beans, mung beans, Appaloosa beans, wax beans salad - with green apricots, kelp and lobster mushrooms Where should I start. Every new dish is such an adventure! Some suited my palette better than others - but all presented a great talking point! This menu has 13 little courses spread over 2 hours, with fabulous service for $79. How bloody incredible is that! Everyone coming to Vancouver must go - but not all together as it is a wee restaurant!
