Chana Masala

I really enjoyed Vikas’s review of Chana Masala and how you get interesting variations on the recipe depending where you are. Jai Krishna is a regular destination for us but in all the times I’ve been, I’ve never ordered Chana Masala. I’m glad I did because it was such a hearty dish with the chickpeas sitting in a rich, spicy sauce, garnished with fresh coriander. There were three of us and we ordered three different curries accompanied by coconut rice and poori which I’ll review next. Jai Krishna is a long established vegetarian restaurant with a ‘bring your own drink’ policy. Nowadays they have the menu clearly showing which dishes are vegan.
