Chana Masala

Loved the spices and seasoning of these chickpeas! Also liked that they were soft and not too hard.

It is very easy to imagine a trip to Jaggi’s similar to walking into mom’s kitchen for a meal. Traditional, wholesome (“a good thing”), hearty home, cooked style food without any of the pretense. The décor is very simple and basic, but the place is generally filled with friendly happy faces sharing meals with friends. The fact that most of the food is already prepared and is set up in a self-service style may not be for everyone. I found it quite enjoyable as it was easy to make repeated returns until my stomach was fully satiated; which were many. The Chana Masala was perfectly spiced and left just enough of a hint of tingling on my tongue. The flavour was robust and brought a smile to my face. Not surprisingly more than one order was eaten Overall a very satisfying dish.
