五郎時食 (Gorou) - Menu Set (NT$1,000) Dish 8 - Seaweed "Scallop" with Perilla Leaf The "scallop" is tender, chewy and flavorful! It's made from king oyster mushroom that had been slightly carved with knife 30 times on each side, making it 120 times for a single piece of "scallop". It is then pan-fried which gives it a really nice and fragrant aromatic and flavor that's almost identical to a real scallop. The perilla leaf also gives it a really nice and fragrant flavor that really enriches the overall dish as a whole! So amazingly tasty!
