This traditional Canarian dish of #papasarrugadas or #wrinkledpotatoes is a vegan staple across the islands, although in this case #asktoveganize because the almogrote sauce contains dairy. These little #newpotaotes were super tender and wrinkly due to the salt water they are boiled in. The #mojopicon had a peppery, slightly spicy quality and the #mojoverde was smooth and creamy. The quantity is excessive for one person (I wish they would have told us that!), better to be shared between two or more.

The marked menu price of 13€ is the highest I have ever seen, thank goodness we had paid for half-board. The dining room is impressive and has a chilled vibe. Make sure you let the server know you are vegan when you are seated as complimentary hors d'oeuvres and dessert truffles were brought to our table but upon our asking were NOT vegan. We alerted the hotel upon making the reservation, in another email prior to arrival, upon our check-in at the reception desk... and still had this glitch.
